This Weekend at TYDE HAUS ♨️
The atmosphere shifts in Rowayton when the temperature climbs.
People find their way back to the beach, The Sound looks inviting, and curiosity about the sauna is at peak levels.
We've had more questions this week than ever before; how it works, what a session involves and how the heat heals.
Below we answer some of the most frequently asked questions and line you up for a transformational weekend in our sanctuary of heat.
How it Works
Come alone, with friends or bring the whole family.
↓
Sessions are 75 mins long which is enough time for 3-4x 10 - 15 min sessions in the heat with 3 - 5 min cool down in between.
↓
Select and book your session here. (At sign up you will be able to see how many other people are in your session.)
Unfortunately everyone has to sign up individually and have their own account due to our booking platform. Something we are working on for future.
↓
Arrive 10 mins before your scheduled session. Bring 2 towels, a full water bottle and your swimsuit. Check-in, sign the waiver and you are ready to go.
↓
Inside the Sauna
For everyones comfort and hygiene sit on a towel inside the sauna. Remove it each time you leave the sauna to allow others to rotate between the top and bottom bench. Hydrate to replace lost fluids, towel off to avoid toxins being reabsorbed. Voices should be at a library level.
↓
The Rest
Traditional sauna bathing is the combination of heat and adequate time to cool down between sessions. We suggest a 3-5 min cool down between sessions in the sauna. This lowers the skin and core temperature and enables you to enjoy the benefits of heat for longer.
↓
Finish
Heat and cold is very personal so finish at your own pace. Grab a shower, towel off and bask in the afterglow. The benefits of sauna compound so don’t wait too long until your next session.
The Weekend Schedule
Friday
We open at 7am.
It’s the only morning we open early, and tomorrow’s forecast makes it worth setting the alarm: 78 degrees, partly cloudy, 9mph wind off the Sound. ☀️
That combination of cool morning air and serious heat will make it a special session.
Saturday
The sauna opens at 9:30am with sessions running through the afternoon.
Join us after your morning workout. More on the benefits of sauna for endurance and strength below ↓
On Saturday the last public session is 4:00–5:15pm.
From 6:30pm, we are closed for a private event.
Speaking of events, if you’ve ever thought about a private session for your own group, a team, a training squad or a social event our packages start at $479 for up to 10 people. Email us at haus@tydehaus.com for more information.
Sunday
Sunday brings rain and a high of 54 degrees. 🌦️
Counterintuitively that makes it a great day to be at the sauna. The contrast between a cold, wet morning and the heat inside is more pronounced than on a clear day. Stepping out between rounds into the cool rain has a quality to it that fair weather can’t replicate. Sunday sessions run from 9:30am through to 8:15pm.
Reset and refocus before the week starts all over again.
We are so thankful you are part of the TYDE HAUS community,
Andy & James.
